Will the Fabspeed XperTune Performance Software fit my RS6 or RS7?

It is calibrated for the C8 Audi RS6 Avant and RS7 Sportback with the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. It requires a bench-unlockable ECU; Bosch locked these ECUs from around June 2020, so it fits vehicles built roughly from 2019 through June 2020, and many 2021 cars fall after the cutoff. Confirm your build date with Fabspeed before ordering.

How much power does it add?

On Fabspeed's dyno the Fabspeed XperTune Performance Software took the car from 552 to 702 wheel horsepower and from 516 to 636 lb-ft, gains of 150 wheel horsepower and 120 lb-ft. Figures come from a specific test vehicle and vary with fuel, modifications and conditions, and a car with bolt-on upgrades will see the most.

How is the tune installed?

It is a mail-in ECU bench-flash service. You remove your ECU and ship it to Fabspeed with a completed ECU Information form; Fabspeed flashes the calibration within 24 to 48 hours and returns the unit by the same method you used. No other vehicle modifications are required to run it.

Can I return the ECU to stock?

Yes. Fabspeed saves your factory calibration when it flashes the tune, so the ECU can be restored to its original programming later for a small fee. This makes the upgrade fully reversible if you sell the car or need to return it to stock for service.

Does it work with other modifications?

Yes. The calibration is designed to build on bolt-on upgrades, which deliver the largest gains, and a stock RS6 or RS7 still sees a significant, usable increase in power and response across the rev range.

Is it emissions legal or CARB approved?

No. This software is not CARB approved and is not for sale or use in California or other states that require CARB certification. It is intended for closed-course, competition or off-road use where legal. Check your local and state regulations before ordering or installing.

Description

Fabspeed XperTune Performance Software For C8 Audi RS6 & RS7

Fabspeed XperTune Performance Software for the C8 Audi RS6 and RS7 is calibrated to extract maximum power from the 4.0L twin-turbo V8 without sacrificing drivability or reliability. By reprogramming key strategies — sensor inputs, air/fuel targets, and boost control — the tune sharpens throttle response, fattens midrange torque, and delivers a stronger, more linear pull to redline. The result is an RS6 / RS7 that feels decisively quicker and more refined in everyday use while retaining OEM-like manners.

Features

Gain of 150hp and 120ft/lbs
Improved engine performance
Drivability remains uncompromised
24-48 hour turnaround

Applications

Audi RS6 Avant: C8 | 2019-2020 | EA825 4.0L Twin-Turbo V8
Audi RS7 Sportback: C8 | 2019-2020 | EA825 4.0L Twin-Turbo V8

Notes

The purchaser is responsible for covering the shipping expenses when sending an ECU to Fabspeed. Once received, Fabspeed will tune the ECU within 24-48 hours and return it using the same shipping method chosen by the purchaser during the initial shipment. For instance, if you sent the ECU via ground shipping, it will be returned using ground shipping, and if overnight shipping was used, the ECU will be shipped back via overnight as well.
This is not a physical/shipped product. This upgrade requires you to send us your ECU for re-programming. You will be emailed a download link with detailed instructions after adding this to your cart and checking out
While a vehicle equipped with bolt-on upgrades will experience maximum gains as a result of the increased efficiency of the engine, great power gains can be made on a completely stock vehicle
You must fill out and include a copy of the ECU Information form along with your ECU upon sending it in. Please contact us if you need to send the form in any other manner
Fabspeed Motorsport saves your stock/factory ECU settings so that we can convert or flash your ECU back to stock settings at any time for a small fee
Special requests and tune file upgrades may be subject to additional fees

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. Please review the full Terms & Conditions here.

BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
