The purchaser is responsible for covering the shipping expenses when sending an ECU to Fabspeed. Once received, Fabspeed will tune the ECU within 24-48 hours and return it using the same shipping method chosen by the purchaser during the initial shipment. For instance, if you sent the ECU via ground shipping, it will be returned using ground shipping, and if overnight shipping was used, the ECU will be shipped back via overnight as well.

Does the Fabspeed XperTune Performance Software fit the F8 Tributo? Yes. The Fabspeed XperTune Performance Software is calibrated for the F142MFL Ferrari F8 Tributo with the 3.9L F154 twin-turbo V8. It is a recalibration of the factory ECU, so it works with the car’s existing hardware and requires no mechanical changes to the engine.
How is the tune installed? It is a mail-in bench flash. After checkout you receive a download link with an ECU Information form and Fabspeed’s bench-flash guide, then you remove and send your ECU to Fabspeed. Fabspeed writes the upgraded map and returns it, typically within 24 to 48 hours of receiving it. You cover shipping both ways.
How much power does it add? Fabspeed does not publish a specific dyno figure for the F8 tune, so the gains are described qualitatively: sharper throttle response and a wider, more usable powerband from recalibrating the twin-turbo V8 within reliability-focused limits. Fabspeed notes the biggest gains come when the tune is paired with its bolt-on hardware, though real gains are available on a stock car.
Will it affect reliability, and can it be reversed? The calibration stays within reliability-focused limits, and Fabspeed states drivability is uncompromised. Your factory calibration is saved during the process, so the ECU can be flashed back to stock later for a small fee if you ever need the original settings.
Do I need an exhaust, or does it work on a stock car? It works on a stock car and delivers real gains on its own. For the maximum, Fabspeed offers a complete Sport Performance Package that bundles this tune with its Valvetronic X-Pipe, Sport Cats, filters and more, since freer-flowing hardware lets the recalibration do more.
Is the XperTune software street-legal and CARB-compliant? No. It is not CARB approved and is not for sale in California, and Fabspeed has not assessed EPA anti-tampering compliance, so it is intended for closed-course and off-road use. The buyer is responsible for confirming local legality before fitting it.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less.
