Eventuri introduces an all-carbon RS3 turbo inlet elbow for the 8Y platform, evolving the proven 8V geometry and adding dedicated hardware for the North American 8Y breather system (rest-of-world applications continue with the existing 8V inlet). After months of focused R&D, the design prioritizes volume, flow quality, and temperature. Volume increases with a 103 mm inlet vs. 72 mm stock and a 74 mm outlet vs. 56.4 mm stock, unlocking substantially greater internal capacity and a less restrictive path to the turbo. Flow quality is enhanced by high-temperature pre-preg carbon with a smooth interior and continuous curvature, minimizing turbulence compared to cast-aluminum pieces. For temperature control, a machined turbo flange pairs with a silicone coupler featuring an integrated thermal spacer to isolate the carbon elbow from direct turbo contact; combined with carbon fiber’s low through-thickness thermal conductivity, this reduces heat transfer to the intake charge.

Carbon Fiber Inlet Elbow

  • Eventuri’s turbo inlet establishes a smooth flow path from a 103 mm inlet to a 74 mm outlet at the turbo flange. The profile uses continuous curvature and maximized internal volume without compromising flow behavior. Finished in raw carbon (no clear coat) to tolerate turbo and manifold heat, the carbon construction maintains a smooth internal surface to reduce friction and ease airflow. Structural rigidity is ensured with a consistent 2 mm wall thickness, and a heat-reflective layer is applied where the tube crosses the exhaust manifold to reduce radiant absorption. Compared with cast aluminum, the carbon design offers significantly lower thermal conductivity and a smoother interior for improved flow stability.

Minimizing Heat Soak

  • Under hard acceleration in the RS3 / TTRS, turbo spool generates substantial heat. Because the turbo face mounts directly to Eventuri’s CNC-machined flange, a silicone coupler is engineered to serve as a thermal barrier between the metal flange and the carbon tube. An internal spacer separates the carbon and metal interfaces, reducing conductive heat transfer so the inlet resists heat soak and sustains more consistent power than the stock assembly.

Testing

  • Eventuri validated the RS3 / TTRS inlet on a SuperFlow SF-1020 at 28″ H2O, same day and jig. Results show the stock elbow is highly restrictive, Eventuri improved maximum flow by 42% with the stock flange and by 58% with the larger GTX flange; the RHD version, scalloped for brake-reservoir clearance, still achieved a 52% gain with the GTX flange. Independent dyno testing at BR Performance Netherlands on a TTRS with a TTE700 confirmed the gains: 576.5 hp (stock airbox + modified stock inlet), 606.5 hp (Eventuri Stage 3 + modified stock inlet), and 620.8 hp (Eventuri Stage 3 + Eventuri turbo inlet).

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
