The renowned Capristo Valved Exhaust System achieves an ideal blend of performance and refinement, providing an aggressive exhaust note under acceleration while maintaining a restrained tone during city driving. Its operation utilizes vacuum-actuated valve flaps that open and close automatically according to driving conditions and driver input. At lower engine speeds or while cruising, the valves remain closed to deliver a deep, resonant sound, whereas wide-open throttle causes them to open, unleashing the engine’s full symphony. Valve control is managed through the CES3 control module, ensuring precise backpressure regulation.

Engineering

Capristo Exhaust Systems are engineered and manufactured in Germany, utilizing state-of-the-art 3D laser scanning, CAD modeling, digital prototyping, and precision CNC bending and milling techniques. Each exhaust is crafted from premium T309 (1.4828) stainless steel and expertly hand-polished to a mirror finish. This alloy was carefully chosen for its superior sonic resonance, low weight, and durability, offering performance characteristics comparable to Inconel commonly used in Formula 1.

CES3 Control Module

The backpressure-controlled exhaust valves are able to be customized by the user via the included CES-3 Control Module. This programmable control unit comes with three operating modes that can be navigated through a remote key fob.
- Cruise: Exhaust valves open at higher RPMs
- Sport: Exhaust valves open at lower RPMs and hard acceleration
- Open: Exhaust valves remain open
The vehicle’s Cruise and Sport modes can be independently configured to establish specific backpressure limits, which subsequently determine the activation times of the exhaust valves. This provides exact control over the exhaust system, enabling modifications to accommodate the driver’s distinct preferences and resilience.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US.
