The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming begins with a cast wheel secured on a heated mandrel while hydraulic rollers apply precisely controlled pressure to the barrel. As the barrel is expanded to its final width, the aluminum’s grain structure is compressed and refined, creating a lighter, stronger barrel with performance that closely approaches a fully forged wheel.
