The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming starts with a cast wheel secured on a heated forming drum. Hydraulic rollers then apply controlled pressure to the barrel, progressively stretching and shaping it to its final width. This carefully managed process refines and compacts the aluminum’s grain structure, producing a lighter, stronger barrel with performance characteristics that closely resemble those of a fully forged wheel.
