The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming starts by mounting a cast wheel onto a heated, spinning drum, where hydraulic rollers apply uniform, steady pressure along the barrel. As the barrel expands to its final width, the aluminum’s grain structure is compressed and realigned, greatly enhancing its strength and durability. This advanced process produces a lightweight, high-performance wheel barrel with characteristics comparable to a fully forged wheel.
