The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming positions a cast wheel on a heated, rotating mandrel while hydraulic rollers apply even pressure along the barrel. As the material is shaped to its final width, the aluminum grain compresses and realigns, creating a lighter, stronger barrel with properties close to a forged wheel.
