The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming secures a cast wheel on a heated mandrel while hydraulic rollers apply tightly controlled pressure along the barrel. As the barrel is stretched to final width, the aluminum grain compacts and aligns, producing a lighter, stronger barrel with performance nearing a fully forged wheel.
