The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming begins by placing a cast wheel onto a heated, spinning drum, where hydraulic rollers apply consistent, even pressure along the barrel. As the barrel is stretched to its final width, the aluminum’s grain structure is compacted and refined, significantly increasing its strength and durability. This advanced method results in a lightweight, high-performance wheel barrel with properties similar to a fully forged wheel.
