The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming starts by positioning a cast wheel on a heated, rotating drum, where hydraulic rollers apply consistent, even pressure along the barrel. As the barrel is gradually stretched to its final width, the aluminum’s grain structure is compressed and realigned, greatly enhancing strength and durability. This advanced technique creates a lightweight, high-performance wheel barrel with properties similar to those of a fully forged wheel.
