The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming begins by positioning a cast wheel on a heated, rotating drum, where hydraulic rollers apply consistent, even pressure along the barrel. As the barrel expands to its final size, the aluminum’s grain structure is compacted and reoriented, significantly enhancing its strength and durability. This advanced process results in a lightweight, high-performance wheel barrel with properties similar to those of a fully forged wheel.
