The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming begins by placing a cast wheel onto a heated, rotating drum, where hydraulic rollers apply consistent, uniform pressure to the barrel. As the barrel expands to its final width, the aluminum’s grain structure is compressed and realigned, significantly increasing strength and durability. This advanced process results in a lightweight, high-performance wheel barrel with characteristics comparable to a fully forged wheel.
