The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming begins by mounting a cast wheel onto a heated, rotating drum, where hydraulic rollers apply steady, even pressure to the barrel. As the barrel is expanded to its final dimensions, the aluminum’s grain structure is compressed and realigned, significantly increasing strength and durability. This advanced technique results in a lightweight, high-performance wheel barrel with characteristics comparable to a fully forged wheel.
