The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming begins with a cast wheel mounted onto a heated, rotating drum, where hydraulic rollers apply steady, even pressure to the barrel. As the barrel is drawn out to its final width, the aluminum’s grain structure is compacted and restructured, improving strength and structural integrity. This advanced method results in a lightweight, durable wheel barrel with performance characteristics similar to those of a fully forged wheel.
