Which BMW models does the Eventuri Carbon Intake System fit?

It fits the F95 X5 M and F96 X6 M (2020-2023) [4.4L twin-turbo V8 S63], plus the G05 X5 M60i and G09 XM (2023-present) [4.4L twin-turbo V8 S68]. It replaces the factory airboxes on all of these and retains OEM mounting. Because the range spans both the S63 M cars and the S68 M60i/XM, confirm your exact model and year against the fitment list before ordering.

How much power does the intake add and is a tune needed?

Independent dyno testing by MSL Performance in the UK recorded gains of 18-25whp and 15-18ft-lb, with up to a 30hp peak gain. Maximum measured flow rose to 900 CFM versus 774 CFM stock. No tune is required; the gains come on the stock ECU as the turbos reach peak boost sooner with a lower wastegate duty cycle. It also stacks well with a tune added later.

How does the Eventuri Carbon Intake System actually improve airflow?

The factory layout forces a 180-degree turn because the cold air feeds sit at the front while the turbo inlets face the rear. Eventuri replaces both airboxes and adds a secondary cold air feed from the scuttle panel, creating a shorter, more direct path to the turbos. The patented carbon housings use the Venturi effect to keep airflow smooth, cutting pressure loss and drag while lowering intake temperatures.

Does installing it require modifying the car?

Installation uses factory mounting points and the supplied silicone couplers and brackets, so it is a bolt-on job. The one modification is to the OEM hood seal: a pre-cut section is included so the EPDM scuttle-panel feeds can route correctly and seal when the hood is closed. No cutting of the vehicle body or permanent changes are needed, and Eventuri provides installation instructions.

How are the filters maintained and replaced?

The system uses two bespoke dry Gen 2 cone filters, so they are cleaned rather than oiled; do not apply filter oil, which can foul the sensors. Clean or blow them out periodically based on driving conditions. When they reach the end of their life, the replacement filter is Eventuri part EVE-661-G2-FTR (Type B), and two are required per intake.

Description

Eventuri Gloss Carbon Intake System for G0x / F9x BMW X5, X5 M, X6 M and XM

Eventuri introduces the F9x X5 M / X6 M and G09 XM intake system, developed after extensive R&D and testing to improve the flow path compared to the stock system. This intake is a complete redesign of the airboxes, aimed at reducing pressure loss, increasing flow rate, and maintaining low inlet temperatures. The stock system’s cold air feeds are located at the front, while the turbo inlets face the rear, causing a 180-degree turn that restricts airflow. To address this, Eventuri added an additional cold air feed from the scuttle panel, creating a more direct flow path to the turbo inlets. This enhancement improves flow rate, reduces intake air temperatures, and enhances the sound of the turbos, making turbo flutter and pressure release sounds more audible, thus elevating the driving experience.

The Eventuri Difference

The F9x X5 M and G09 XM Eventuri system features patented carbon fiber housings paired with bespoke Gen 2 filters, ensuring an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbos. This system differs from traditional cone filters with heat shields by utilizing the Venturi effect to maintain laminar flow conditions, minimizing turbo drag.

Filter Housing Assemblies

The filter housings include custom-generation 2 filters, aluminum inlet cowls, and stainless steel brackets. The carbon pod encases the reverse-mounted filter, directing airflow smoothly toward the OEM turbo inlets. Unlike the stock airbox, which has abrupt 90-degree turns that restrict flow, the Eventuri system features a direct path from the filter to the turbo inlets, reducing drag and improving efficiency.

Bespoke Cone Filter

To achieve the highest flow rate, Eventuri utilizes a filter element that maximizes available space in the engine bay. The filter medium is ISO tested to meet OEM filtration standards and is designed with dry construction. Signature flow cones in the filter aid in the Venturi housing principle, enhancing airflow.

Patented Technology

Eventuri’s patented filter housing reduces in cross-sectional area, tapering to the tubing, which accelerates the airflow while maintaining laminar conditions. This design invokes the Venturi effect, functioning like a large velocity stack. The bespoke filters ensure an even velocity profile, improving airflow as it exits the housings.

Carbon Twin Air-Ducts

The stock system’s main restriction lies in the feed location, as the air feeds are positioned at the front while the turbo inlets face the rear. Eventuri’s redesigned air ducts include a secondary feed from the scuttle panel, resulting in a higher flow rate and a more direct path to the turbos.

EPDM Rear Feeds

To ensure a proper seal, the secondary air inlets on the carbon ducts connect to EPDM feeds that route to the scuttle panel area. When the hood is closed, the scuttle area is sealed from the engine bay, allowing ambient air to flow into the intake. A pre-cut section of the OEM hood seal is included for easy installation of these EPDM feeds.

Carbon Engine Cover

Due to the large volume design of the filter housings, the OEM engine cover no longer fits, so Eventuri has produced a modified cover to enhance the engine bay’s aesthetic. Gaps are left between the cover and the intakes, allowing heat to dissipate and preventing it from soaking into the intake system. This complete intake system improves performance, aesthetics, and sound compared to the stock airbox.

Dyno Testing

The system has been independently dyno tested by MSL Performance in the UK, showing consistent gains across a broad RPM range. These gains are attributed to the turbos reaching peak boost earlier and with a lower wastegate duty cycle, resulting in improved part-throttle and full-throttle response. On the road, this translates into quicker acceleration and a more responsive driving experience.

About Eventuri

Eventuri was founded by a team of engineers and enthusiasts with a background in Aeronautics and tuning – all sharing a passion for cars and performance. After owning various intakes over many years for their own cars and being disappointed with the gains which seldom lived up to their claims – they decided to take things into our own hands and rewrite the book. To set a new benchmark in intake design and technology, above all – to engineer systems which provide real gains and then to publish genuine figures. Their systems are extensively developed using cutting edge design, testing and prototyping methods. With a focus on performance, each design undergoes CFD analysis and is then validated at the prototype stage through volumetric airflow, intake temperature and extensive dynamometer testing. They strive to publish all the development information to illustrate the depths they go to in bringing an intake from concept to reality. Only the best materials are selected for each component – even down to the choice of fasteners and fixings in order to ensure that the quality of the end product is second to none. After many years of disappointment with the usual aftermarket intakes, they are proud to be raising the bar and creating intake systems which are setting a new standard and genuinely improve the performance of your vehicle.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
