Does the VF ECU Software for Lamborghini Huracan fit both the LP580-2 and LP610-4?

Yes. VF Engineering lists one ECU Software for Lamborghini Huracan models built from 2015 to 2019, covering the rear-drive LP580-2 and the all-wheel-drive LP610-4. Both use the 5.2 liter V10. The Performante from the same years has its own separate calibration.

How much power does the software add?

VF Engineering has not published a stock figure for this car that matches the Lamborghini rating, so Bulletproof Automotive does not quote a gain. On the later EVO, VF quotes a 20 hp increase from a similar approach, which gives a sense of what a naturally aspirated V10 calibration delivers.

How is the software loaded onto the car?

VF supplies it as an end-user programmable package that is written through the OBDII port, so a workshop visit is not required. VF states that the factory calibration can be restored from the same port whenever the owner wants the car back to original form.

Will the software change how the car drives day to day?

The main change is throttle response. VF revises ignition, fueling and throttle mapping, so the V10 answers the pedal more quickly at part load and pulls more cleanly. The factory hardware, gearbox and drive modes all stay exactly as Lamborghini built them.

Should I add the TCU software as well?

Many owners do. The VF Engineering TCU calibration covers every Huracan from 2015 to 2024 and works on the dual-clutch gearbox, refining shift response, while the ECU software works on the engine. The two are sold separately and can be installed together.

Description

VF Engineering Performance ECU Software for Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 and LP610-4

VF Engineering’s Performance ECU Software for Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 and LP610-4 is the calibration VF wrote for the first generation of the car, built from 2015 to 2019 before the EVO arrived. Both versions share the naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10, the rear-drive LP580-2 with a softer factory tune and the all-wheel-drive LP610-4 with the stronger one, and VF’s file is written for the pair. With no turbocharger to lean on, the gains come from ignition timing, fueling and throttle mapping, and the result is felt as a quicker, cleaner response from the pedal rather than a dramatic change in character. For an early Huracan owner, it is the least invasive way to sharpen the car.

Features

Calibration written for the first-generation Huracan
Revised ignition timing, fueling and throttle mapping
Quicker response from the naturally aspirated V10
End-user programmable through the OBDII port
Factory calibration can be restored at any time
Developed on the VF Engineering dyno in Anaheim

Applications

Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 and LP610-4: 2015-2019 | 5.2L V10

Notes

This ECU Software for Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 and LP610-4 models is software only
No horsepower gain is quoted here because the stock baseline VF publishes for this car does not match the factory rating
Pairs with the VF Engineering Performance TCU Software for Lamborghini Huracan
The Performante, EVO, STO, Tecnica and Sterrato each take their own VF calibration

About VF Engineering

VF Engineering designs supercharger and turbocharger systems, titanium exhausts and ECU and TCU calibrations from a 15,000 sq ft facility in Anaheim, Orange County, California, where it has been based for nearly two decades. Every calibration is developed in house on the company’s own Mustang AWD 500 chassis dyno, ECU boards are handled in a dedicated clean room, and new parts start in an R&D room equipped with a rapid prototyper. VF reports that more than 93 percent of its supercharger systems are still running after years of hard use, many on their second or third owner, and its engineers carry the testing discipline of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series into every road calibration.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
