Recognizing the growing demand as S55 owners push their vehicles to new limits, CSF developed a solution to address these needs. Additionally, with the F8X platform nearing a decade in age and the newest models being at least five years old, many original coolers suffer from clogged or damaged fins, significantly diminishing their cooling efficiency.
Design & Engineering
CSF engineered its coolers as a true “Drop-in Fit” to ensure effortless installation. Each unit mounts directly in the factory location and utilizes OEM quick connections for seamless integration. The High-Performance Auxiliary Radiators complement the overall cooling system by effectively reducing temperatures and extending the heat soak threshold. This design helps maintain optimal temperature ranges, allowing enthusiasts to maximize performance without interruptions—avoiding the frustration of cutting a track session short for cooldown laps. Each CSF F8X Auxiliary Radiator is interchangeable between the left and right sides, with swappable fittings and plugs for easy setup on either side.
OEM vs CSF
CSF’s auxiliary radiators deliver a significant upgrade over the OEM F8X coolers. By eliminating the OE plastic mounting pod and integrating it into the modular design, CSF increased both the core size and tank volume. This enhancement results in approximately a 7% increase in Core Size and a 10% boost in Tank Volume. With a larger 2-row 42mm core, these radiators offer dramatically improved cooling efficiency and capacity. Featuring CSF’s Exclusive B-Tube Technology, the high-efficiency core maximizes airflow and heat dissipation for superior performance. Constructed entirely from 100% aluminum, the CSF units provide unmatched durability and performance. The stronger mounting pins and brackets replace the less reliable OE plastic pod system, while the sleek black finish adds extra protection and a stealthy appearance behind the F8X grilles. For added safety, CSF includes integrated bolt-on rock guards to protect the radiators from debris—mitigating the risk of punctures and fluid leaks, a common issue with OEM units. The modular design allows each auxiliary radiator to fit either side of the vehicle, offering several key advantages, especially for track applications. This design simplifies spare part management by reducing the need for side-specific units, saving both costs and space. For serious enthusiasts, having a single interchangeable backup radiator ensures greater convenience and readiness for high-performance driving.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well.
For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less.
