Its platform is one of the most commonly modified in the country, thanks to the legendary LS engine. Renowned for its simplicity, durability, and exceptional engineering, the LS engine frequently achieves over 1,000 horsepower and excels in various racing disciplines. However, the increased demands of racing and high horsepower levels can easily overwhelm the stock cooling system of the C6 Corvette. Design and Engineering

CSF, well-versed in GM performance vehicles, recognized the need for a high-performance radiator for the C6 Corvette. With many C6 owners seeking upgrades or replacements for aging factory radiators, CSF aimed to design a model compatible with all trims and common modifications. Partnering with A&A Corvette, experts with over 20 years of experience in Corvette-specific products, CSF developed a radiator featuring a core with 193% more volume than the factory version, delivering a significant boost in cooling capacity. CSF VS OEM

The original Chevy OE radiator for the C6 Corvette features plastic tanks and a single-row aluminum core, offering decent durability but falling short for high-horsepower builds and intense driving. Recognizing the cooling demands of big V8 engines like the LS, CSF designed the C6 Corvette Radiator with a 193% larger 2-row, 52mm aluminum core. This upgrade increases fluid capacity and enhances heat dissipation, leveraging CSF’s exclusive B-Tube Technology for 15% more efficient heat transfer compared to standard oval tubes. Additionally, the 8mm super-efficient multi-louvered fins optimize airflow, delivering superior performance even with intercoolers and heat exchangers used in supercharger or turbo setups. The radiator’s TIG-welded, all-aluminum construction boosts strength and durability, ensuring it withstands rigorous driving conditions. Designed for seamless installation, it mounts in the factory location without modifications, and its slightly reduced core height allows for improved clearance with supercharger systems.

Factory Style Fittings and Mounting Points

All the fittings on the CSF radiator are made to the same specifications as the factory radiators, allowing for a simple plug and play installation. CSF carefully engineered and produced the factory style quick connect fittings for models equipped with an Engine Oil Cooler and/or Automatic Transmission Cooler. If your C6 Corvette is not equipped with either of these coolers you can simply leave them unplugged as these are independent cooling circuits. CNC machined fan shroud mounting points are placed to accommodate all the different OE fan configurations. All radiator mounting pins are also CNC machined for added strength compared to the OE plastic pins. The mounting pins also feature cotter pin holes for securing the A&A Corvette Top Shroud.

Built in Oil & Transmission Coolers

CSF incorporated both an engine oil cooler and an automatic transmission cooler into the C6 Corvette radiator, utilizing a high-efficiency plate design for optimal performance. The engine oil cooler features a high-flow, 4-plate design with low-pressure drop characteristics, while the automatic transmission cooler uses a super-efficient 6-plate design to maximize heat dissipation, making it ideal for motorsport applications such as track, drift, and drag racing. Both coolers were meticulously engineered to enhance cooling performance without compromising the efficiency of the radiator, delivering superior results compared to the factory system.

Core Height

CSF designed the radiator with a slightly reduced core height to accommodate various supercharger installations. Unlike many setups that require trimming the radiator core or lowering its position, the CSF Radiator eliminates the need for such modifications. This design avoids the structural weakening and potential core damage associated with cutting the header plate on the OEM radiator, ensuring durability and ease of installation.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
