The Mitsubishi Evo holds a distinguished place in CSF’s history, celebrated as one of the true JDM legends. With its powerful 4G63 engine and Mitsubishi’s AWD system, the Evo performs exceptionally both on and off the road. For years, Evo 7, 8, and 9 owners have relied on CSF Radiators to keep their high-horsepower DSMs cool. A standout among CSF’s universal products is the Ultimate Half Radiator, the preferred choice for Evo owners with large turbos and forward-facing manifolds needing a compact fit. This new radiator provides a cost-effective alternative to the feature-rich ultimate half radiator, incorporating innovative design features that set it apart from competitors. CSF proudly presents the Evo 7-9 High-Performance All-Aluminum Half Radiator, available in both a “mirror finish” hand polish and a satin black finish for a sleek, high-end look.

Design and Engineering

• The Evo’s 4G63 engine performs exceptionally with a large turbo, but these turbos generate substantial heat. To address this, CSF engineered the new half radiator to deliver top cooling performance within a compact design. This radiator incorporates the same 2-row, 42mm high-performance core that has proven effective in countless Evos equipped with CSF’s Ultimate Half Radiator. Utilizing CSF’s exclusive B-tube technology, it achieves approximately 15% greater heat transfer than standard oval-welded tubes. Additionally, the multi-louvered fins are optimized to maximize airflow through the core, ensuring the highest possible performance. The half radiator is also compatible with CSF’s 12-inch high-performance SPAL fan and shroud kit, which can be added or purchased separately.

Adjustable Mounting Bracket

• Manufacturing tolerances, age, and other external factors can complicate the installation of new parts. To simplify this process, CSF designed the top mounting bracket with adjustability, allowing for easier installation and ensuring optimal fitment for owners.

Adjustable Breather Pipe

• Large turbo installations and custom builds often present challenges with hose routing, as ideal paths may not align with the original configuration. To provide more flexibility, CSF designed the breather pipe on the filler neck to be 2-way adjustable, offering owners additional options for positioning and routing their overflow hose and tank.

Temperature Sensor Port

• Monitoring coolant temperatures is essential for high-horsepower builds and racing applications. Aftermarket temperature gauges are popular among Evo builds, so CSF ensured easy installation for customers by including a 1/8th NPT port on the bottom tank, compatible with widely used aftermarket temperature sensors. For those not using temperature sensors or who have one installed elsewhere, CSF also provides an NPT plug for convenience.

Finish options

• Although not a performance feature, CSF recognizes the importance of engine bay styling for many enthusiasts. The CSF Black Series radiators have gained significant popularity among Evo owners, so the new Half Radiator is offered in both CSF’s renowned 1-Hour “mirror finish” hand polish and the sleek satin black finish from the expanding Black Series.

Optional Fan Shroud Kit

• The CSF Half-Rad Fan Shroud Kit CSF available in polished aluminum and satin black  are fully compatible with the new Evo Half Radiator. This direct bolt-on upgrade includes a 909 CFM 12″ SPAL puller fan, making it an excellent enhancement for improving cooling efficiency at idle and low speeds.
