This timing belt is best suited for use with HKS Slide Cam-Pulleys. The Fine Tune Timing Belt is optimized for each engine application, making it ideal for high power and high RPM engines. It is designed to maintain stable belt tension even when the engine expands due to heat. Traditional timing belt manufacturing techniques applied pressure to the teeth from the outside, weakening them. However, HKS forms the teeth with a precise mold from the start, preserving belt strength and reducing skipping under high torque. The teeth are made from H-NBR grade rubber for additional durability. The Fine Tune V Belt is not only a performance upgrade but also enhances the engine compartment’s appearance, leveraging the latest technology to protect the vehicle’s condition.

Necessity of Changing the Balancer Belt

• The balancer is engineered to minimize engine vibration by generating a counteracting force. At high RPMs, such as during circuit driving, engine vibration increases, placing more stress on the balancer. The balancer operates at twice the speed of the crankshaft, causing its belt to stretch more quickly than other belts. This stretching can lead to the balancer becoming unsynchronized with the crankshaft, resulting in increased vibration and potential belt failure. Therefore, HKS recommends replacing the balancer belt with a strengthened version whenever the timing belt is changed. This ensures the balancer remains effective, accurate, and reduces stress on the engine and chassis.
