Fabspeed Valvetronic Maxflo Exhaust System for Chevrolet C8 Corvette E-Ray
This system was designed to offer two completely enthralling personalities, interchangeable at the user’s discretion with the click of a button. The user can choose between an aggressive sound with power gains noticeable upon acceleration or opt for closing the valves for a more restrained sound when cruising through the city or neighborhood. The X-Pipe design by Fabspeed adds a hint of exotic mid-engine tone while accentuating the loping sound characteristic of the American V8.
Power
The factory NPP (valved) exhaust on the C8 Corvette offers good flow when the valves are open. However, when the valves are closed, it restricts the exhaust flow. Thus, regardless of whether one is in the comfortable valves closed mode or energetically driving around with valves open, the Valvetronic Maxflo Exhaust System maintains excellent flow and generates significant power.

Does the Fabspeed E-Ray Valvetronic Maxflo Exhaust fit the Stingray or Z06? No. It is built specifically for the C8 Corvette E-Ray with the factory NPP valved exhaust, from 2024 onward. The Stingray and the Z06 use different exhaust layouts and take their own Fabspeed systems, so order the version that matches your car. Confirm your E-Ray has the NPP performance exhaust before ordering.
How do the two modes work? The system switches between two modes at the press of a button. With the valves closed it stays quiet for daily driving; with them open it turns loud and aggressive. The valves are plug-and-play and work just as GM designed them, and two included AFM simulator plugs let the car hold eight-cylinder mode so it runs cleanly with no check engine light.
Does the E-Ray Valvetronic Maxflo add power? Yes, modestly. Against the restrictive factory NPP exhaust, Fabspeed measured up to 8 wheel horsepower and 9 lb-ft at the peak, with curve gains as high as 14 horsepower and 15 lb-ft. It is built mainly for the two sound modes and a 20-pound weight saving, with the extra flow freeing the LT2 across the rev range.
What is the Fabspeed E-Ray Valvetronic Maxflo Exhaust made from? It is built from 3.0-inch T304L and 321 stainless steel tubing with flexible bellows, every bend CNC mandrel-formed and the assembly hand-built. Amorphous silica fiber heat shielding wrapped in 321 stainless manages heat at the rear of the car, and the complete system weighs about 20 pounds less than the factory exhaust.
Why does the E-Ray need its own exhaust? The E-Ray pairs the 6.2L LT2 V8 with an electric front axle and packages its exhaust differently from the Stingray, so Fabspeed builds an E-Ray-specific system rather than reusing the Stingray part. Ordering the E-Ray version ensures the system fits the car’s layout and works with its factory valved exhaust.
Is it street legal? It mounts behind the factory emissions hardware, which stays in place, so it does not alter the car’s catalytic converters or emissions equipment. The closed-valve mode keeps it quiet for daily driving. Check your local noise and sound-level rules before installing, since those vary by area.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
