The exhaust design process began with 3D scanning the OEM system to create a precise Solidworks model, ensuring a perfect fit to OEM standards. After extensive testing, a cast X-pipe was incorporated for improved exhaust scavenging and resonance control, while CNC-machined valve plates and mandrel-bent T304 stainless steel piping with heat wrapping were used for durability and temperature management.
The design process began with 3D scanning the entire OEM exhaust system using a creaform 700 Handscan, enabling the creation of a complete Solidworks 3D model of the exhaust. Utilizing that model, the exhaust and fixtures were designed to ensure a perfect fit to OEM standards. After multiple revisions for sound quality and dyno testing, the decision was made to incorporate their signature cast x-pipe to connect the two cylinder banks for exhaust scavenging and to overcome resonance. The valves are attached to CNC’d plates designed to resist heat and maintain the functionality of the electronics under extreme conditions. The piping is mandrel-bent from T304 stainless steel, and ultra-high temperature heat wrapping is used to minimize engine bay temperatures.
