Incorporating muffler bypass valves into the inlet pipes of the Maxflo Exhaust system, Fabspeed unveils an additional raw, race car-like tone at the simple press of a button. With the valves closed, the Maxflo mufflers deliver a familiar, sporty, and refined tone, devoid of any droning, ensuring a pleasurable auditory experience. However, activating either the factory sport button or the Fabspeed valve controller remote unleashes the exhaust to travel unrestricted through the 48mm dump tubes, bypassing the mufflers completely. This triggers a frenzy of burbling and crackling with every throttle application, filling the cabin with a thunderous roar at precisely the desired volume level.

How does the Fabspeed TrackTec Valved Bypass Exhaust change the sound? The Fabspeed TrackTec Valved Bypass Exhaust uses muffler bypass valves in the inlet pipes. With the valves closed, the exhaust flows through the Maxflo mufflers for a refined, drone-free tone. Open them with the Sport button or controller and the exhaust routes through 48mm dump tubes past the mufflers for a raw, race-car roar with burbles and crackle.
Do I need the valve controller? It is included, and how you use it depends on your car. Cars with factory Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE) can operate the valves through the factory Sport button, while cars without PSE use the included Fabspeed valve controller. You have PSE if your center console has a button with an exhaust-tip icon; select the matching option at checkout.
Is it emissions legal and will it cause a check engine light? It is emissions legal and does not trigger a check engine light. The system bolts on behind the factory headers as a direct muffler replacement and leaves the rest of the factory setup in place, so it runs clean with the stock tune and needs no additional programming.
Is it quiet enough for daily driving with the valves closed? Yes. With the valves closed, the exhaust runs through the Maxflo mufflers for a sporty, refined tone with no droning, which makes it comfortable for commuting and highway miles. Open the valves only when you want the full race-car roar, so you control the volume to match the moment.
Which cars does it fit? It fits all 2005-2008 Porsche 987.1 Boxster and Cayman models, including the Boxster S and Cayman S, with the 2.7L, 3.2L, or 3.4L flat-six. It is a direct replacement for the factory mufflers with no cutting or welding and comes with Deluxe Quad Style tips in your chosen finish.
What is it made from and is it a bolt-on? It is hand-built from 14-16 gauge CNC mandrel-bent T304 stainless steel and installs as a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory mufflers, with no cutting or welding required. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do.
