Fabspeed Valvetronic Sport Cats for 991.2 Porsche 911 GT2 RS
Fabspeed’s Valvetronic Sport Cats for 991.2 Porsche 911 GT2 RS are the most complete way to open up the ultimate street 911, pairing high-flow catalysts with driver-controlled valves while keeping the car emissions-compliant in 49 states. The system connects to the twin-turbochargers and runs HJS German 200-cell sport cats that flow up to 93 percent of a straight pipe, then adds a pair of 74mm Helical valves, the same silicon-carbide, OEM-grade hardware found on Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren supercars, wired to the factory sport exhaust buttons. Built at Fabspeed’s Fort Washington, Pennsylvania facility from 14 to 16 gauge, CNC mandrel-bent T304 stainless steel, it adds 24 lb-ft of torque on its own and reaches up to 75 wheel horsepower and 108 lb-ft once paired with a matching ECU tune. It is the setup for a GT2 RS owner who wants flow, sound, and control without giving up emissions compliance.
Flow, Sound, and Control
This is the flagship of the GT2 RS exhaust range. The HJS sport cats flow close to a straight pipe for real gains and a cleaner idle, while the 74mm Helical valves, more than a centimeter larger than the 60mm factory valves, open and close through the standard sport exhaust buttons. Leave them closed for a civil commute, then open them for full turbo whistle and race volume on demand. And because it keeps functioning catalysts, the car stays emissions-compliant in 49 states, something no straight-pipe race system can claim.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the Fabspeed Valvetronic Sport Cats for 991.2 GT2 RS? They are a high-flow exhaust system that connects to the GT2 RS twin-turbochargers and combines HJS German 200-cell sport catalytic converters with a pair of 74mm Helical valves. The sport cats flow up to 93 percent of a straight pipe while keeping the car emissions-compliant in 49 states, and the valves, wired to the factory sport exhaust buttons, let you control the volume. It adds 24 lb-ft of torque on its own.
How are these different from the standard Sport Cats? The standard Sport Cats use the same HJS 200-cell high-flow catalysts but run without valves, so they have a fixed, quieter tone. These Valvetronic Sport Cats add 74mm Helical valves tied to the factory sport exhaust buttons, so you can switch between a calm mode and full race volume. Both are emissions-compliant in 49 states. This is the choice if you want sound control on top of the flow.
Are they street legal? They keep functioning high-flow catalysts, so they are emissions-compliant in 49 states and street legal everywhere except California and other states that require CARB certification, where they are not for sale. Always confirm your local emissions rules before buying. They are the most street-friendly way to get valve-controlled race sound on the GT2 RS.
How much power do they add? On their own the Valvetronic Sport Cats add 24 lb-ft of torque and free up flow and response. Fabspeed reports that with a matching ECU tune the system reaches up to 75 wheel horsepower at 7,200 rpm and 108 lb-ft at 3,200 rpm. The high-flow design and larger valves remove the main exhaust restriction so a tune can do more. The tune is sold separately.
What are the valves, and how hard is the install? The 74mm Helical valves are silicon-carbide, OEM-tier units also used on Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren supercars, and they keep full Porsche Sport Exhaust compatibility. Installation is straightforward and needs only four exhaust clamps replaced, though professional installation is recommended. The valves wire into the existing sport exhaust controls.
Do they fit any other 911? No. These Valvetronic Sport Cats are made specifically for the 991.2 GT2 RS built from 2017 to 2019 with the 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six. They are not designed for the 991 Turbo, the GT3, or the earlier 997 GT2 RS. Fitment is specific to the GT2 RS.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well.
For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
