Fabspeed Supersport Race Performance Package for 996 Porsche 911 Turbo
Fabspeed’s Supersport Race Performance Package for 996 Porsche 911 Turbo is the company’s most aggressive build for the first water-cooled 911 Turbo, a track-focused package that Fabspeed has refined on the dyno and racetracks since 1999. Developed in-house at Fabspeed’s own Fort Washington, Pennsylvania facility, the Race Performance Package combines the 2.75-inch, 70mm Supersport race X-pipe with Fabspeed Race Pipes, Sport Performance Headers, a high-performance air intake, deluxe X-50 style tips, and XperTune tuning software, all matched to work as one. Built from 14-16 gauge T304 stainless steel with an investment-cast X-pipe and F1-style 3-into-1 merge collectors, it opens the exhaust wide for quicker spool, sharper throttle response, and a hard twin-turbo voice with burbles and crackles on the overrun. Fabspeed quotes gains of more than 40 horsepower and 40 lb-ft, with the exact figures depending on the car and the tune. It is built for closed-course and competition use, is not CARB approved, and carries the Fabspeed lifetime warranty.
Built to Work Together
Every part in the Race package is chosen to complement the next: the headers and 70mm race X-pipe open flow front to back, the high-performance intake feeds the turbochargers more air, and the XperTune software retunes the ECU so the engine uses all of it. Fabspeed developed the X-pipe with an investment-cast, lost-wax center section and a CAD-designed profile for flow, and has spent more than twenty years refining the system on the dyno, the street, and racetracks worldwide.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in the Fabspeed Supersport Race Performance Package for 996 Porsche 911 Turbo? The package bundles Fabspeed’s 2.75-inch 70mm Supersport race X-pipe with Race Pipes, Sport Headers, a high-performance air intake, deluxe X-50 style tips, and XperTune tuning software, all matched for the 996 Porsche 911 Turbo built from 2000 to 2005 with the 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat-six. It is a complete track-focused exhaust, intake, and tuning build. It is not made for the later 997 Turbo.
How much power does the Race Performance Package add? Fabspeed quotes gains of more than 40 horsepower and 40 lb-ft of torque, and notes that the exact figures depend on the vehicle, the tune, and conditions. The gains come from the 70mm race X-pipe, headers, intake, and the XperTune software working together, not from any change to the turbochargers. On the car you feel it most as quicker spool and stronger top-end pull.
Is the Race package street legal? No. The Race Performance Package is built for closed-course and competition use only and is not intended for street or highway driving. It is not CARB or EPA certified and is not for sale in California or other states that require CARB certification, and the race pipes will set a check engine light on OBD2 cars. For a street setup, choose Fabspeed’s Street Performance Package instead.
What does it sound like? It has a hard, aggressive twin-turbo voice with the whistle of the turbos on boost and distinctive burbles and crackles on downshifts and deceleration. It is the loudest and most aggressive of Fabspeed’s 996 Turbo setups, which is why it is intended for the track. If you want a fuller street sound, a system that keeps more silencing will be quieter.
What is special about the 70mm race X-pipe? The X-pipe is a 2.75-inch, 70mm crossover with an investment-cast, lost-wax center section and a CAD-designed profile, up from the roughly 60mm factory tubing. The larger crossover balances flow between the two banks and improves high-speed scavenging, which is what sharpens throttle response and spool. Fabspeed has refined the design on the dyno and racetracks since 1999.
How is it installed, and is it covered? Every part bolts on in the factory location, so no cutting or fabrication is needed, but this is a full exhaust, intake, and tuning job. Fabspeed provides the XperTune handheld tuner for the ECU flash, and professional installation and tuning are recommended. The whole package is made to order and backed by the Fabspeed Lifetime Warranty.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well.
For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
