Does the Fabspeed Performance Package fit all 993 Carrera variants, including the wide-body Carrera S and Carrera 4S?

Yes, but the package ships in narrow-body and wide-body versions. Carrera, Carrera 4, and Carrera RS use the narrow-body exhaust, while the wide-body Carrera S and Carrera 4S need the wide-body version, so confirm your body style before ordering.

Can I install the Fabspeed Performance Package myself?

The exhaust and intake components are a simple DIY bolt-on with no cutting or welding. The ECU/DME upgrade is different: chip-based cars need the module removed and professionally reflashed, so budget for that step separately from the exhaust install.

What is the sport cat x-pipe made from, and does it hurt flow?

It uses an HJS high-flow catalytic converter rated at 93 to 95 percent of straight-pipe flow, paired with T304L stainless steel construction throughout the exhaust, so you keep street legality with minimal restriction.

Which DME/ECU tune option do I need?

It depends on your production year: 1994-1995 cars use a DME chip, 1996-1998 cars use an ECU software tune, and any drive-block-equipped car needs the OTP flash regardless of year. A no-tune option is also available if you already have your own tuning solution.

Is the Fabspeed Performance Package backed by a warranty?

Yes. The exhaust hardware in this package is backed by the Fabspeed lifetime warranty covering materials and workmanship.

Description

Fabspeed Performance Package for 993 Porsche 911 Carrera / 4 / 4S / RS / S

Fabspeed’s Performance Package for 993 Porsche 911 owners who want the full transformation in one order combines a Maxflo Performance Exhaust System with deluxe oval tips, a sport cat x-pipe, a CUP high performance airbox cover, a BMC F1 air filter, and a DME/ECU software upgrade into a single, matched setup. Every exhaust component is built from mandrel-formed T304L stainless steel, and the sport cat x-pipe uses an HJS high-flow catalytic converter rated at 93 to 95 percent of straight-pipe flow, so the Carrera keeps its street legality without giving up the top end. Paired with the ECU calibration, the result is a car that pulls harder across the full RPM range rather than just at the top of the tach, built for 993 owners who want one coordinated package instead of assembling the same parts separately.

Features

All exhaust components are constructed from T304L stainless steel for durability and corrosion resistance
HJS sport cat x-pipe flows 93-95% of a straight pipe, preserving street legality
Direct bolt-on replacement for the factory exhaust system
Exhaust and intake components install DIY with no cutting or welding; the ECU/DME component requires the correct tune selected at order and, for chip-based cars, professional installation (see Notes)
Backed by the Fabspeed lifetime warranty

Notes

All Fabspeed products are expected to ship within one to two weeks of order, though timelines are often much quicker
DME/ECU upgrades are available for all 993 Carrera models, but you must specify which style of DME/ECU your vehicle requires
Early model 993s (1994-1995) typically use a DME software chip, while later cars (1996-1998) use an ECU software tune; cars equipped with the “drive-block” feature (any model year) use an OTP-style ECU instead.
You can verify that your car requires an OTP by inspecting the stickers on your factory ECU. If the number on the Porsche sticker is 99361866600, 99361866601, 99361866602, or 99361866603, you will need to select the OTP ECU tuning option.
The original factory ball-joint clamps must be reused when installing Fabspeed exhaust products on all 993 Carrera vehicles
Please refer to the gallery to specify what style of header flange your vehicle uses: either Gillet (1996-1998) or Bischoff (1994-1996.5)
Select the correct body style when ordering: Carrera, Carrera 4, and Carrera RS use the narrow-body exhaust, while the wide-body Carrera S and Carrera 4S require the wide-body version

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
