Valve Mechanics

• An important feature of the Capristo Exhaust system is its valve dynamics. It utilizes vacuum-actuated valve flaps that can open and close based on driving conditions and driver input. When the engine is operating at lower speeds or during cruise mode, the valves remain closed, resulting in a deeper exhaust note. However, when the driver accelerates aggressively or operates the vehicle at wide-open throttle, the valves open, allowing the engine to unleash its full symphony.

CES-3 Control Module

• The backpressure-controlled exhaust valves are able to be customized by the user via the included CES-3 Control Module. This programmable control unit comes with three operating modes that can be navigated through a remote key fob.
  • Cruise: Exhaust valves open at higher RPMs
  • Sport: Exhaust valves open at lower RPMs and hard acceleration
  • Open: Exhaust valves remain open
• The vehicle’s Cruise and Sport modes can be independently configured to establish specific backpressure limits, which subsequently determine the activation times of the exhaust valves.
