Through their expertise, Kline has fully optimized and unleashed the engine’s sonic capabilities, resulting in an unparalleled driving experience that surpasses all expectations.

The Sound

• Kline’s primary objective for the GTC4 was to develop an exceptionally lightweight and high-performance exhaust system. They achieved this by crafting a valvetronic full exhaust system using Inconel 625, meticulously designed to provide a refined and pleasant auditory experience during cruising speeds, while delivering an exhilarating and powerful scream when the throttle is fully engaged and the valves are open.
• To enhance the sound further, Kline replaced the stock catalyst with high-flow 200cpsi HJS sports catalysts, resulting in a significant sound amplification. Additionally, they replaced the stock H pipe with their meticulously engineered X-Pipe featuring optimal geometry and laminar flow. This modification not only enriches the tone but also raises the pitch, resulting in a fuller and more aggressive exhaust note.
• Furthermore, Kline’s inclusion of the valvetronic rear section allows for near-silent operation during cruising, while providing the freedom to unleash the unrestricted Ferrari scream by opening the valves when desired.

Stainless Steel

• Within the realm of exhaust manufacturing, the industry traditionally relies on 304-grade stainless steel as the established standard. This particular grade offers a well-balanced combination of moderate strength, thermochemical stability, cost-effectiveness, and ease of production. It enables the construction of exhaust systems that strike a practical balance between affordability and functionality, ensuring long-term durability. However, it is important to note that stainless steel is relatively heavier compared to alternative materials. Although its density is similar to regular steel, it possesses slightly lower tensile strength. Consequently, stainless steel has limitations in creating high-performance exhaust components and may result in a somewhat subdued and less vibrant exhaust note when compared to other materials.

Inconel

• When it comes to guaranteeing durability and heat resistance, Inconel 625 emerges as the ultimate choice widely employed in the aerospace industry. This exceptional material finds extensive application in the manufacturing of critical components, specifically exhaust turbine blades for high-performance jet engines. Inconel is notably favored in Formula One exhaust systems and has been chosen by manufacturers involved in prestigious hypercar projects such as the McLaren P1 and Aston Martin 177. The advantages of Inconel lie in its high tensile strength and excellent thermochemical stability. With a tensile strength comparable to that of titanium, it achieves an outstanding strength-to-weight ratio. This allows for the use of thin sidewall materials while maintaining structural integrity, facilitating the production of lightweight components that demonstrate exceptional resistance to fatigue over extended periods. However, working with Inconel presents challenges due to its difficult machinability and specific welding requirements, necessitating specialized skills and time-consuming techniques. Additionally, the unique properties and specialized manufacturing processes associated with Inconel contribute to its higher cost as a raw material.

Heat Shield

• For customers who prioritize effective heat management, we provide meticulously designed heat protection solutions crafted from embossed stainless steel sheet. Each heat shield undergoes careful creation and welding by skilled artisans to ensure optimal performance. By integrating these heat shields onto the manifolds, heat soak is reduced, scavenging is improved, and overall performance is enhanced, leading to a cooler engine temperature.
