The Flow Forming Process

• The process begins with the meticulous attachment of a wheel-shaped mold to the rotating flow forming machine, ensuring a secure and precise fit. Heat is then carefully applied to the mold, facilitating the subsequent steps of the process. Controlled pressure is exerted on the barrel using hydraulic rollers, allowing for a gradual and precise expansion of the wheel. Through the careful execution of stretching and compressing techniques, the material is manipulated and adjusted with utmost precision to achieve the desired width. By extending the barrel material, the grain formation of aluminum is enhanced, resulting in a final composition that remarkably reflects the quality and craftsmanship found in factory-produced wheels. This advanced process not only reduces weight but also strengthens the wheel, ultimately providing a construction that is lighter, stronger, and capable of delivering optimal performance, durability, and reliability.
