The Flow Forming Process

• The flow forming process begins by attaching a wheel-shaped mold securely to the rotating machine. Heat is then applied to the mold to facilitate the subsequent steps. Hydraulic rollers exert controlled pressure on the barrel to expand the wheel. Through a meticulous process of stretching and compressing, the material is carefully manipulated and adjusted to achieve the desired width. This manipulation enhances the grain formation of aluminum, resulting in a lighter and stronger composition that closely mirrors that of a factory-produced wheel.
