The Flow Forming Process

• The process initiates with the secure attachment of a wheel-shaped mold to the rotating flow forming machine, followed by the controlled application of heat. Hydraulic rollers are then employed to exert precise pressure on the barrel, facilitating the gradual expansion of the wheel. Through careful execution of stretching and compressing techniques, the material undergoes meticulous manipulation and adjustment to achieve the desired width. By extending the barrel material, the grain formation of aluminum is enhanced, resulting in a final composition that remarkably resembles a wheel produced in a factory. This advanced process not only reduces weight but also enhances strength, offering a wheel that is lighter and stronger in construction, delivering optimal performance and durability.
