The Flow Forming Process

• The process begins by precisely securing a wheel-shaped mold onto the rotating flow forming machine, followed by the application of heat. Hydraulic rollers are then employed to exert pressure on the barrel, expanding the wheel. To attain the desired width, the material undergoes meticulous manipulation and adjustment through careful stretching and compressing. By extending the barrel material, the grain formation of aluminum is enhanced, resulting in a lighter and stronger composition that remarkably resembles a factory-produced wheel.
