This ultra–lightweight cylinder is constructed of high–pressure forged aluminum and features a cutting–edge film treatment and Kashima coating. Through the special impregnation of molybdenum, it has superior lubricity unlike conventional hard alumite, providing excellent linearity, smoothness and traction ability.
High-Precision Machining with the Highest Priority on Performance
Aragosta is renowned for their precision when machining cylinders from both aluminum and steel, with the capability to achieve a surface roughness of 0.2 microns and 2/10000 mm. Moreover, an advanced honing technique is employed to increase the accuracy and roundness of the cylinder to the desired values. This degree of precision in cylinder machining is quite rare among damper manufacturers.
Superior Finishing Technology
The steel cylinder / outer case has been treated with a cationic electrodeposition coating, which is known to provide the most effective protection against rust, impact damage, and wear. This coating also ensures that every corner of the thread is completely covered, so that the item can last longer.
Equipped with High-Performance Spring as Standard
Every Aragosta comes with the Rana spring as a basic feature, representing the peak of a series–wound spring. This spring is not only top quality and long–lasting, but also has linear characteristics to maximize the effectiveness of the damper.
Sharpened Internal Structure
The remarkable performance of Aragosta is enabled by damper pistons and needles which can regulate fine damping characteristics even at the lowest speeds. This range from comfort to sports drastically enhances traction performance. Furthermore, the external damping force adjustment mechanism allows for a clear and distinct change across the 20–step adjustment range, and it has a pleasant, direct feel to it, responding to any setting.
High Hardness, High Efficiency WPC Processing
By utilizing WPC processing in their inverted cartridge cylinder, the highest–level of precision shot peening is possible. This technology modification makes the sway resistance much higher, therefore reducing the wear coefficient and significantly improving the oil film retention. This exemplifies the commitment to performance excellence in the manufacturing process, even when time and money is spent on components that are not immediately visible.
Aragosta 4 Cup Lift System
The Cup System is a revolutionary system that eliminates the risk of contact between the car and the ground, particularly for low–profile vehicles. With this system, obstacles such as speed bumps, entranceways, and exits of parking lots are no longer a problem as the vehicle is quickly raised to a higher level with a single switch, which can be operated from the driver‘s seat.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US.
