Touring Edition Exhaust

• The Touring Edition Exhaust uses a 3-inch T304L stainless steel downpipe-back layout with a straight-through design that keeps flow unrestricted while maintaining a deep, controlled exhaust note. It includes an integrated front pipe, a purpose-built midpipe resonator, and AWE’s 180 Technology® to manage drone without adding restriction. The system produces a full, clean K20 sound without rasp—noticeably more present under load, yet quiet and composed at highway speeds. It installs with consistent fitment and does not trigger a check engine light. The 180 Technology works by routing sound waves through tuned side chambers, where they reflect and re-enter the main exhaust stream out of phase, canceling the frequencies that typically cause cabin drone while keeping the system fully straight-through.

What is 180 Technology?

• AWE’s 180 Technology® routes exhaust flow through a resonator with carefully placed ports that lead into reflection chambers, where sound waves are redirected and controlled. The size, position, and volume of these chambers are tuned specifically for each vehicle, allowing engineers to manage when the reflected waves return to the main exhaust stream. When they re-enter, they’re 180 degrees out of phase with the original waves, canceling the frequencies that cause drone. Each system is developed around the acoustics of a specific platform rather than a generic setup, so the result is consistent—unwanted tones are removed while the exhaust note remains clear, balanced, and true to the engine.

Front Pipes

• Both the Touring and Track Edition systems come with a full 3-inch front pipe, built with a specific flange and gasket to maintain consistent diameter from inlet to outlet. It’s designed to work as part of the complete exhaust layout, not as a standalone piece. AWE systems are engineered as a matched package, so the front pipe is not intended to pair with components from other aftermarket brands.
