What is 180 Technology?

When exhaust gases leave the N55/B58 engines and enter an AWE 180 Technology® resonator, they move through precisely placed ports and into the reflection chambers inside. Those chambers bounce the sound waves back, and the size and placement of every port and chamber is set by AWE’s acoustic engineers to control exactly when those reflected waves feed back into the main exhaust stream. That timing is the key; it produces a sound wave that runs 180 degrees out of phase with the unwanted frequencies, and those frequencies get canceled out before the exhaust exits the system.
