The AWE Tuning Touring Edition Axle-Back Exhaust for the BMW M2 M235i and M240i replaces the rear section of the factory system with a straight-through muffler design that improves exhaust flow while maintaining a controlled sound profile. It uses AWE’s 180 Technology to target and reduce drone at cruising speeds, allowing the turbocharged inline-six to produce a deeper, more refined tone under throttle without adding constant cabin noise. As an axle-back setup, it retains the factory mid-pipe, making installation simpler while still offering a noticeable change in sound character. The 90mm diamond black tips provide a subtle, darker finish at the rear, and the system is engineered to align with OEM mounting points for proper fitment and consistent clearances.

Touring Edition Exhaust

The AWE Touring Edition is an axle-back exhaust that uses AWE’s proprietary 180 Technology® to eliminate drone while still producing a clean, distinctive exhaust note that fits the character of the car.

What is 180 Technology?

As exhaust gases exit the N55/B58 engines and flow into an AWE 180 Technology® equipped resonator, they pass through strategically placed ports and into reflection chambers. The sound waves carried by those gases bounce off the chamber walls, and AWE’s acoustic engineers control the size and placement of both the ports and the chambers to determine exactly when those reflected waves cycle back into the main exhaust stream. That precise timing produces a sound wave running 180 degrees out of phase with the problematic frequencies, canceling them out before they exit the system.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
