The AWE Tuning Touring Edition Axle-Back Exhaust for the C7 Corvett covering Z06, ZR1, Z51, Grand Sport, and Stingray models without AFM—focuses on improving tone and flow from the rear section while keeping the car livable on the street. Built from T304L stainless steel with a straight-through design, it uses AWE’s 180 Technology® to control low-frequency resonance, so the exhaust remains free of drone during steady cruising. The sound is deeper and more defined than stock, with a smoother transition in volume as revs climb, avoiding the sharpness or rasp that can show up in simpler axle-back setups. It reuses factory mounting points for a straightforward install, and the black-finished tips sit cleanly in the rear valance, maintaining the C7’s original lines while adding a more purposeful look.

What is 180 Technology?

• AWE’s 180 Technology® uses resonators with carefully placed ports and reflection chambers to manage sound waves within the exhaust. As gases pass through, sound waves reflect inside the chambers, with port sizing and placement tuned to the vehicle’s acoustics. These reflected waves re-enter the main exhaust flow 180 degrees out of phase, canceling drone-prone frequencies without restricting performance. Each system is engineered for a specific platform, resulting in a consistent, controlled exhaust note that reduces harshness while preserving power and tone.

• Includes three 4.5” double-walled, slash-cut tips in Chrome Silver or Diamond Black

Nope, It’s Not Valved

• Factory valve behavior was analyzed across driving modes during development
• Volume remains largely consistent, with the valve closed only in Comfort mode until a throttle threshold is reached
• Valve stays open in Sport and Sport+ modes, with Sport+ adding ECU-controlled burbles
• In stock form, exhaust routes through side mufflers when closed to reduce cabin noise and drone
• When open, flow is directed through the center section for a more pronounced exhaust note

Conversion Kits

• AWE Tuning designed the system to allow easy conversion between Track and Touring Editions, giving drivers the ability to adjust cabin sound levels as needed.
