AWE Track Edition Exhaust w/ Diamond Black RS-Style Tips for B9.5 Audi RS 5 Sportback

The AWE Track Edition Exhaust with Diamond Black RS-Style Tips bolts directly onto the B9.5 Audi RS 5 Sportback without modification, built from dual 3″ CNC mandrel-bent .065″-wall T304L stainless steel sourced in the US. Downpipes and a precision-engineered X-pipe are included, and the straight-through design keeps flow unrestricted for maximum performance output. It comes standard with 180mm Diamond Black RS-style tips, with resonated cat-back options available for builds running aftermarket catalysts. The whole system is engineered, designed, and manufactured in-house in the USA, and every unit includes AWE’s Perfect Fitment Guarantee and No CEL Guarantee.

Track Edition Exhaust

• If raw and loud is what you’re after, the Track Edition delivers. It keeps all the precision engineering of the Touring Edition, including the X-pipe and 3″ diameter tubing, but leaves out the 180 Technology® resonator. The result is a system that gets loud and aggressive through the mid-range and at cruising speeds; it’s not for everyone, and that’s worth knowing before buying. For that reason, this version cannot be returned due to sound preference. Consider yourself warned.

What is 180 Technology?

• As exhaust gases leave the RS 5’s 2.9L engine and move through an AWE 180 Technology® resonator, they pass through precisely placed ports and into reflection chambers. The sound waves carried by those gases bounce off the chamber walls, and by controlling the size and placement of both the ports and the chambers, AWE controls exactly when those reflected waves re-enter the main exhaust flow. That timing produces a 180-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels the problematic frequencies outright. Call it science, call it engineering, call it 180 Technology® by AWE.
