AWE Track-to-Touring Edition Conversion Kit for Subaru BRZ & Toyota GR86

The AWE Track-to-Touring Edition Conversion Kit for the Subaru BRZ and Toyota GR86 is intended for drivers who started with the Track setup and want to bring the sound level back under control without replacing the full exhaust. It adds AWE’s Touring rear sections with integrated drone-canceling design, reintroducing sound attenuation to smooth out the harsher, constant volume of the straight-through Track configuration. The result is a more balanced exhaust note that remains present under acceleration but is significantly more composed during cruising and daily driving. Like the rest of the system, the components are made from T304L stainless steel and retain factory-style fitment, so the swap is straightforward and fully reversible. It’s a practical way to make the car more livable day-to-day while keeping the same overall exhaust foundation.

Exhaust Tips

• Each exhaust system comes with three 4.5” double-walled, slash-cut tips in either chrome silver or diamond black, each stamped with the AWE logo. The tips are individually adjustable, letting you set their projection into the bumper to match your preference.

Nope, It’s Not Valved

• During development, AWE thoroughly analyzed the factory valve’s behavior across different driving conditions and found that overall volume doesn’t change significantly between modes that use the valve. The valve stays closed only in Comfort mode, opening once a throttle threshold is reached, while in Sport and Sport+ modes it remains open, with Sport+ adding ECU-controlled burbles. Stock routing directs exhaust through the side mufflers when the valve is closed to minimize cabin volume and reduce drone-prone frequencies, and through the center when the valve is open.
