The Flow Forming Process

• The process begins by securing a molded wheel onto the rotating flow forming machine and applying heat. Hydraulic rollers are then used to exert pressure on the barrel, causing the wheel to expand. Meticulous stretching and compression techniques are employed to manipulate the material and achieve the desired width. By extending the barrel material, the grain formation of aluminum is optimized, resulting in a wheel that is both stronger and lighter, resembling a professionally manufactured product.
