SOUL Performance Products’ SOUL Sport Headers for the Porsche 992 Carrera and Turbo family are engineered to let the 3.0L and 3.7L twin-turbo flat-sixes breathe, boosting response, midrange punch, and sound without sacrificing ground clearance or drivability. Replacing the basic factory manifolds, these headers use an optimized 3-into-1 merge collector and equal-length 1.75″ runners to smooth and accelerate exhaust flow into the turbochargers, improving spool and carrying power more strongly through the rev range. SOUL also enlarges the outlet to 2.25″ ID versus the uneven 1.4″ / 1.8″ factory outlets, supporting substantially higher flow and big-power builds while still pairing cleanly with the turbo’s efficiency map for noticeably quicker boost response on stock or tuned cars. The result is a more urgent, turbo-forward exhaust character, stronger midrange, and a harder charge to redline – all while remaining emissions-equipment friendly when used with the factory catalytic converters. Each set of 992 SOUL Sport Headers is designed and built in-house at SOUL’s Willow Grove, PA facility from thick-wall T304L stainless, then TIG welded and fixture-checked to ensure precise, direct bolt-on fitment across all 2020+ 992 Carrera, Turbo, Sport Classic, and Dakar models (excluding 992.2 Carrera GTS). Weighing about 5.5lb less than the factory components (11.4lb vs 16.9lb), they trim weight from the nose as well. Backed by SOUL’s Lifetime Warranty for street and track use, these headers are an ideal foundation for owners who want real, hardware-based performance gains and a more engaging soundtrack from their 992 without compromise.

Development

• SOUL Performance Products dedicated their efforts to achieve optimal performance and enhanced response, recognizing the significant benefits a merge collector can provide to owners aiming for maximum horsepower. By implementing an optimized 3 into 1 merge design, they successfully improved response compared to the basic factory design, which lacks a collector. Additionally, the equal length 1.75″ runners employed in their design effectively increase exhaust velocity towards the collector and turbocharger. Notably, the factory outlets on the left and right sides differ in size, 1.4″ and 1.8″ internal diameter (ID) respectively. In contrast, the SOUL outlet boasts a larger 2.25″ ID, facilitating increased flow capacity and accommodating high-power builds. The combination of the header’s internal volume and the resulting design enhancements harmonize well with the turbocharger’s efficiency map, resulting in noticeably quicker boost response and a noticeable power increase across the entire RPM range. Engaging the gas pedal provides swifter feedback from the vehicle, and each gear offers more usable power before necessitating a downshift.

Construction

• SOUL Performance Products takes pride in crafting each set of headers in-house within the United States, utilizing laser-cut flanges and mandrel-bent, robust .065″ thick wall T304L stainless steel. To guarantee excellent weld penetration and long-lasting durability, back purged TIG welding is employed with the use of ARCAL Prime argon gas. During the fabrication process, they utilize sturdy aluminum fixtures with a generous gauge, which serve as effective heat sinks. This not only prevents warping of their products but also safeguards the fixtures themselves, ensuring precise fitment of the headers.

• Each component undergoes a meticulous quality-check process, ensuring the highest standards are met. To guarantee proper fitment, thorough testing in a fixture is conducted. Once confirmed, each item is carefully foam packed to ensure they arrive in impeccable condition, ready for use.
