The F87 M2 Competition intake system is designed to optimize turbo efficiency. By replacing the stock airbox with Eventuri’s patented Venturi filter housings and smoothly curved tubes, the system ensures more laminar airflow to the turbos, allowing them to spool with reduced drag. Since the M2 Competition lacks air openings behind the grilles, Eventuri added sealed ducts to maintain low intake temperatures. The combination of Venturi housings, organically shaped tubes, and sealed ducts creates an optimized intake system that sets a new standard for this platform. The components work together to enhance both the driving experience and the engine bay’s visual appeal, blending form and function seamlessly.

The Eventuri Difference

• The M2 Competition Eventuri system features patented carbon fiber housings with Gen 2 bespoke filters, designed to create an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbos. This is not just a standard cone filter with a heat shield; it utilizes the Venturi effect to maintain laminar flow conditions, reducing drag on the turbo and improving performance.

Filter Housing Assemblies

• The filter housings consist of high-flow filters, aluminum cowls, V-Band clamps, laser-cut brackets, and patented carbon pods. These carbon pods enclose the reverse-mounted filters and shape the airflow smoothly toward the intake tubes. This design invokes the Venturi effect, accelerating airflow while maintaining laminar conditions, functioning like a large velocity stack. The bespoke filters further enhance the airflow by providing a consistent velocity profile as it exits the housings.

Carbon Sealing Ducts

• The filter housings are positioned with their openings sealed against the carbon ducts. These ducts are designed to fit over the stock cold air channels and direct ambient air into the filters, ensuring that only cool air enters the system. The sealed ducts prevent heated air from entering the filters, maintaining optimal intake temperatures.

Carbon Intake Tubes

• Eventuri’s intake tubes are crafted from 100% prepreg carbon fiber. Each tube includes a CNC-machined aluminum MAF sensor mount. The shorter left-side tube provides a smooth transition from the carbon housing to the turbo inlet, while the longer right-side intake tube navigates around the fan shroud and strut brace. To maintain proper clearance, the tube transitions from a circular cross-section at the turbo inlet to an oval shape over the shroud, and back to a circular shape at the filter housing. These transitions are gradual to avoid airflow disruption, and the cross-sectional area remains consistent to maintain constant velocity through the tube.
