Does the Eventuri E9X M3 airbox lid fit my car?

Yes. The Eventuri E9X M3 airbox lid fits the E90, E92, and E93 BMW M3 equipped with the S65 V8. It installs as a direct replacement on the factory airbox mounting points and is engineered specifically for this platform, so it is not compatible with other BMW models or engines.

Does this airbox lid add horsepower?

No. The Eventuri E9X M3 airbox lid is designed to sharpen induction sound and update the engine bay's appearance, not to increase power. It maintains proper airflow and factory drivability while removing the sound-dampening of the OEM plastic lid. Expect a more pronounced intake note rather than dyno gains.

How does it change the sound?

The factory lid is heavily insulated to muffle intake noise. By replacing it with prepreg carbon fiber and a smooth internal surface, the lid lets more of the S65 V8's natural induction character through, so the intake is more audible both inside the cabin and outside the car, especially as revs climb.

Is installation difficult or permanent?

No. The lid is a direct replacement that uses the factory mounting locations with no permanent modifications required. It bolts on in place of the OEM lid, which keeps the change fully reversible. Professional installation is recommended to ensure a clean fit and proper sealing.

Will it work with my Eventuri intake or plenum?

Yes. The airbox lid is compatible with both the factory airbox and Eventuri's intake and plenum systems, so you can run it on a stock setup or alongside other Eventuri S65 carbon components. It is designed to complement those parts visually and functionally.

What is the finish like?

The lid is made from 100% prepreg carbon fiber with a matte clear coat over a black weave. The result is a refined, motorsport-inspired look that replaces the aging OEM plastic and ties the engine bay together with other carbon components on the S65.

Description

Eventuri Matte Carbon Airbox Lid for E90 / E92 / E93 BMW M3

The Eventuri E9X M3 airbox lid replaces the restrictive, heavily insulated factory lid on the E90, E92, and E93 BMW M3 with a 100% prepreg carbon fiber piece that lets more of the naturally aspirated S65 V8’s intake character reach the cabin and the street, all while keeping OEM fitment and factory drivability intact. The matte clear-coat finish gives a motorsport-inspired look that suits the stock airbox as well as Eventuri’s optional intake and plenum systems, and the smooth internal surface preserves proper airflow while shedding the sound-dampening built into the OEM plastic lid. It installs as a direct replacement on the factory mounting points with no permanent modifications.

About Eventuri

Eventuri was founded by a team of engineers and enthusiasts with backgrounds in aeronautics and tuning, all sharing a passion for cars and performance. After owning various aftermarket intakes over the years and being disappointed with gains that seldom lived up to their claims, they decided to take things into their own hands and set a new benchmark in intake design and technology. The goal was to engineer systems that provide real, measurable gains and to publish genuine figures to back them up. Their systems are developed using cutting-edge design, testing, and prototyping methods. Each design undergoes CFD analysis and is validated at the prototype stage through volumetric airflow measurement, intake temperature testing, and extensive dynamometer testing. Eventuri publishes all development data to illustrate the full process from concept to finished product. Only the best materials are selected for every component, down to the choice of fasteners, to ensure the quality of the final product is second to none.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
