Blue Anodized Finish

• When raw aluminum is exposed to oxygen, an oxide film forms on its surface. This process is similar to rusting, but anodizing is a more enhanced form of oxidation that creates a hard–wearing and impenetrable coating of aluminum oxide. As a result, anodizing yields a protective layer, making it a suitable material to be used in a racetrack.

“E-Slit” Double Shaving Effect

• The combination of a long curved slit and an “E“ slit creates the eye–catching design of the E–Slit Rotor. These two slits‘ dual shading effect helps to maintain the pad in pristine condition, with the curved slit gently shaping the pad, and the “E“ slit enhancing braking power and efficiency. About Bedding

• In order to make the most of circuit–specific pads that are engineered to work properly in high temperatures, pre–heating must be done before hard–driving to ensure that the pads will not suffer from extreme temperatures. This technique is known as ‘bedding‘.
• Competitions such as SUPER GT, WRC and a few European races, which are considered to be of the highest quality in motorsports, require bedding.
• It is essential to follow a suitable bedding–in process prior to utilizing semi–metallic brake pads so as to guarantee the topmost results at high temperatures as well as prolong the life of both the brake pads and rotors.
• How to Bed:
  • To begin with, when working with a new product on a circuit, you must heat the rotor up to between 400–500° C, but be sure to not brake hard. Once this is complete, you can then incorporate the atari and let the rotor cool down to 100° C or lower to finish the process.
