BBS CH-R Satin Black Polished Rim Protector Wheel (19×8.5 5-112 +40)
A wheel formed through a single-piece counter pressure casting technique, featuring a flow-formed rim, a spoke area with back-milling, and highlighting a stainless steel rim protector. Its weight has been strategically optimized using FEM analysis.
In the early 1970s, two German racers from Schiltach in the Black Forest region – Heinrich Baumgartner and Klaus Brand – founded BBS. In order to give themselves a performance advantage on the track, they began creating lightweight fiberglass body panels. To help further lower unsprung weight, they also developed an innovative three-part racing wheel which quickly gained attention from professional teams such as BMW Motorsports; this spurred growth for their company. 1983 saw them launch their signature 3 piece ‘RS’ design: it is still one of leading wheels within its industry today . Keeping up with technology learnt through motor sports has been essential to meeting BBS’s mission statement “Technology through Motorsport”.
BBS provides an extensive selection of technologically advanced rims for cars, trucks and SUVs. Their choice of road wheels is composed by the BBS Forged Line with single-piece and double-piece forged models; also included in their Performance Line are one piece as well as dual structure Flow Forming varieties; plus Design Lines low pressure casting disks.
