About BBS

In 1970, two motor racing fans from Schiltach in Germany‘s Black Forest region – Heinrich Baumgartner and Klaus Brand – created BBS. Initially they specialized in manufacturing lightweight fiberglass body components to give their cars a competitive edge on the track. To further reduce unsprung weight, they then developed an inventive three–piece race wheel that soon gained attention among professional teams such as BMW Motorsports which led to rapid growth for the company.
