DDC – Dynamic Damping Control

KW DDC coilovers are part of the KW iSuspension program — KW’s intelligent suspension solution that merges the benefits of adaptive damping technology with vehicle-specific aftermarket performance upgrades. Two system variants are available; the KW DDC ECU, which includes the option of App-based control, and the KW DDC Plug & Play, developed for select models equipped with factory electronic dampers.

KW DDC Plug & Play

With the KW DDC Plug & Play system, installation is seamless — only the factory adaptive suspension is replaced, with no need to modify stock wiring or perform additional conversions. The KW DDC Plug & Play coilovers connect directly to the vehicle’s original plugs, enabling continued use of existing interior suspension controls to toggle between damping modes.
As more premium vehicles come equipped with adaptive electronic suspension, KW DDC Plug & Play offers a solution that eliminates the compromises previously associated with aftermarket suspension upgrades. Unlike traditional systems that require sacrificing electronic adjustability, KW’s adaptive coilover suspension retains all factory functions while adding precise ride height adjustability and KW-engineered driving dynamics.
Installation involves replacing the factory electronic struts with KW’s Inox-Line stainless steel coilover struts. The adaptive KW dampers integrate with the OEM electronics through the vehicle’s original connectors. No additional modifications are necessary — the existing damping control button continues to operate the new KW DDC Plug & Play system.
This setup combines the performance and ride quality of KW coilovers with full compatibility with factory electronic damping controls. At the push of a button, the driver can select Comfort, Normal, or Sport modes — each tuned specifically for the KW coilover system. The ride height is individually adjustable within KW’s tested range, and the system is recognized by the vehicle’s on-board electronics, ensuring all original displays and controls remain fully functional.
- Composite Spring Seat: KW’s spring perches are engineered from a friction-optimized, wear-resistant polyamide composite material reinforced with a stainless steel insert. Unlike anodized aluminum seats, this construction resists oxidation and provides long-term strength and durability. In combination with KW’s Inox-Line stainless steel struts, this ensures lasting ride height adjustability.
- Trapezoidal Thread: KW also uses a trapezoidal thread design that is less sensitive to dirt and easier to adjust compared to conventional threads. The larger cross-section of the thread increases load-bearing capacity and enhances long-term functionality.
- INOX-LINE: Manufactured from high-grade, rust-proof stainless steel, KW’s INOX-LINE coilover struts are 100% corrosion resistant and maintain full adjustability throughout their lifespan. The non-wearing finish guarantees that performance and usability remain consistent over time.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario.
