The Most Powerful Producing VR38 Intake Manifold On The Market

Diverging from the common trend observed in aftermarket manifolds, which often exhibit power gains primarily at the top end while sacrificing performance at the bottom, the Alpha GT-R Carbon Fiber manifold delivers comprehensive performance across the entire power band. Compared to the leading cast aluminum intake manifold available, the Alpha manifold generates higher horsepower and torque figures and does so consistently throughout the entire power band. As soon as your turbos begin to spool up, the Alpha intake manifold starts producing noticeable increases in power and torque. Remarkably, this enhanced performance is achieved without compromising responsiveness or power delivery across the entire power curve.

Larger, Perfectly Molded Carbon Fiber Plenums

Optimal functionality of the plenum plays a crucial role in the performance of any intake manifold. In the case of the GT-R, two separate plenums are employed, each serving a bank of cylinders. It is not only imperative to ensure that these plenums are appropriately sized to provide the correct volume, but their design also plays a significant role in effectively distributing charged air among the precisely machined CNC aluminum velocity stacks that lead into the runners. The lightweight carbon fiber plenums are meticulously molded and tapered, strategically channeling charged air to minimize turbulence and facilitate the swift delivery of that air to the engine. By maintaining equilibrium and sustaining maximum airflow velocity and pressure as needed, your GT-R benefits from increased horsepower output.

The Difference Is In The Details

The meticulous engineering approach employed by AMS ensures seamless airflow from the throttle body to the cylinder heads by meticulously matching each manifold to its corresponding upper and lower running section. To achieve this precise alignment, AMS’ engineers incorporated tight tolerances where the upper and lower sections meet. However, they didn’t stop there. Going the extra mile, dowel locating pins were installed to ensure a flawless alignment between the upper and lower ports, eliminating any potential steps or protrusions that could introduce turbulence commonly observed in other aftermarket manifolds. This attention to detail guarantees optimal airflow and minimizes any disruption that could hinder performance.

Rigorously Tested To Last

In their pursuit of offering an intake manifold of unparalleled strength and reliability, AMS joined forces with a recognized expert in the field. Leveraging their expertise, AMS utilized advanced aircraft-grade epoxies and employed carbon fiber layering techniques to construct a manifold engineered to meet the stringent strength tolerances found in key aerospace components. To ensure its durability, the finalized design underwent an extensive cycle testing regime comprising 144,000 repetitions from 0–50psi in a high-temperature environment, simulating more than 20 years of typical usage by a GT-R owner. In the ultimate test of resilience, a burst test was conducted, subjecting the test manifold to over 150psi. This comprehensive and grueling testing regimen sets the AMS manifold apart, as no other manifold on the market has undergone such rigorous evaluation.

Third Fuel Rail Engineered To Support Incredible Power

To cater to the needs of exceptionally high-powered GT-Rs, the Alpha manifold offers provisions for the installation of an additional fuel rail, enabling the fuel supply required to sustain a VR engine generating over 2000+ horsepower. Precise positioning of fuel injectors plays a vital role in enhancing fuel atomization and efficiency by optimizing the injector’s spray angle. Acknowledging the significance of these factors, AMS’ engineers wholeheartedly embraced these concepts when designing the third rail setup. This option provides flexibility for customers who may choose to transition their standard two-rail Alpha carbon manifold to a three-rail system in the future.

If your GT-R has surpassed the limits of the stock throttle bodies, it’s likely that they are restricting the performance, especially if your car is producing over 800HP. Recognizing this limitation, AMS has developed the largest throttle bodies available for the R35 GT-R, specifically designed to complement the performance capabilities of their intake manifold.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
