TEIN S.Tech Lowering Springs for E36 BMW M3
A 28 mm front and 22 mm rear drop sharpens the look of an E36 M3 on the shocks it already runs, in coupe, sedan or convertible form.
TEIN’s S.Tech Lowering Springs for E36 BMW M3 drop the front 1.1 inches (28 mm) and the rear 0.9 inch (22 mm) on the 3.2 liter cars built from 1996 to 1999. That is a little less than the roughly 1.5 inch figure TEIN gives for the S.Tech line. The set fits the coupe, sedan and convertible, and suits an M3 driven on the street. Owners planning track days, or wanting to set height themselves, need adjustable coilovers.
TEIN was founded in Yokohama, Japan, in 1985 by former rally mechanic Hakaru Ichino, joined soon after by driver Yoshio Fujimoto. The team reached the World Rally Championship in 1989, and in 1995 Fujimoto won the Safari Rally in a Toyota Celica GT-FOUR, the first Japanese driver to do so. TEIN launched its own dampers in 1990 and came to supply around 80 percent of the dampers in the N1 Taikyu endurance series. TEIN USA has served the Americas from Downey, California, since 2001.
